Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Our website address is: https://lens4web.com/. We are lens4web AR Studio, specializing in AI-Powered Virtual Try-On (VTO) solutions and AR development for e-commerce. This policy explains how data is handled when you use our website or when our services are integrated into third-party merchant stores.

2. Virtual Try-On (VTO) Services & Third-Party Processing

When end-users interact with our AI Virtual Try-On features, they may be asked to upload or capture a photo. To power this advanced fitting experience, the provided images are securely transmitted in an encrypted format (via TLS/HTTPS) to Google LLC’s servers, which perform the artificial intelligence processing.

Lens4Web prioritizes privacy by design: we do not permanently store, log, or save user photographs on our servers. The visual data is processed entirely in-memory and exclusively for the brief duration necessary to generate the specific try-on result.

Once the generated image is returned to the active session, the temporary visual data is immediately and permanently discarded. User photos are never used by us or our sub-processors to train, retrain, or improve AI foundation models.

3. Biometric Data Disclaimer

Our AI models analyze the spatial characteristics of the uploaded photo solely to accurately place the digital product (e.g., glasses, clothing) on the subject. We do not collect, capture, purchase, receive through trade, or otherwise obtain biometric identifiers or biometric information. The processing does not identify any specific individual, nor are facial geometries or templates extracted, stored, or shared for identification purposes.

4. Merchant Responsibilities and End-User Consent

Lens4Web provides the VTO technology as a plug-and-play widget for third-party e-commerce platforms. The Merchants (store owners) integrating our widget are legally responsible for displaying appropriate privacy notices and obtaining explicit, informed consent from their end-users before any photos are captured or uploaded through the Lens4Web widget.

5. Analytics and Telemetry (Merchant Dashboard)

To help online store owners (our B2B clients) measure the effectiveness of the VTO integration, Lens4Web collects and displays system performance metrics. We track strictly anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., number of try-on requests, success rates, API error logs). This statistical data does not contain any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or user images, and cannot be traced back to individual shoppers.

6. Merchant Accounts & Local Storage

We provide a secure Control Panel exclusively for store owners. When registering, we collect necessary business information (name, email, company details) solely for contract administration and technical support.

Instead of traditional tracking cookies, our web application primarily uses Local Storage (HTML5 Web Storage) to securely store authentication tokens (like JWT) and interface preferences locally in your browser. This data is strictly functional, is not used to track you across other websites, and is essential for the Control Panel to function correctly.

7. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or lease any personal data. We share necessary operational data exclusively with trusted third-party sub-processors required to run our infrastructure: Google LLC (for AI generative processing), cloud hosting providers, and secure communication APIs (like Telegram, for delivering your contact form messages to our support team).

8. Children's Privacy

Our services and the VTO widget are not directed to individuals under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly process personal data or photographs of children. If a Merchant or end-user utilizes our service, they represent that the individual in the photograph is of legal age to provide consent.

9. International Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.)

Depending on your location (such as the EEA, UK, California, or other US states), you possess specific rights regarding your personal information:

  • Data Processor vs. Data Controller: For the VTO service on third-party websites, the Merchant acts as the Data Controller, and Lens4Web acts purely as the Data Processor. For data collected directly from our B2B Merchants, Lens4Web acts as the Data Controller.
  • International Transfers: Data transmitted to Google LLC may be processed in the United States. We rely on recognized data transfer mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
  • No Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, restrict, object to processing, and request deletion of your data.

Important note for end-users: Because we do not store facial data, photographs, or PII during VTO sessions, there is no end-user data stored on our servers to export or delete. Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) regarding data handled on merchant websites should be directed to the respective store owner.
